KUKA Control Unit – KR C5
The KUKA robot controller system KR C5 enables tailored controller solutions for a wide range of applications involving industrial robots and additional kinematic systems. The custom-fit combination of controller modules, interface modules, peripheral modules and a scalable cabinet system allows for integration into diverse automation environments. The highly integrated robot controllers provide precisely tailored drive power with maximum efficiency.
POWER SUPPLY XFMRless 380V to 480V
The controller can be operated on 3-phase mains power supply in the rated voltage range from 380 V to 480V. A grounded neutral must be present in the system.
CONFIGURATION -/S EtherCAT®
The controller is configured as an EtherCAT slave for connection to higher-level controllers. In order to use this function, the EtherCAT Bridge M/M is required (Beckhoff EL6695-1001 field bus module)
KR C5 dualcab
The KR C5 dualcab cabinet offers two installation spaces for flexible equipment with robot controller, additional axis module or peripheral components on a mounting plate. All devices are powered by the 3 phase mains infeed in the cabinet. All required cables to the robots and additional kinematic systems as well as to other system control components are fed into the cabinet through a flexible cable inlet system. The devices are protected according to protection class IP54.
UPS batterypack 24V
In the event of a sudden power failure, the external 24 V battery pack ensures the voltage supply to the controller in order to enable a controlled shutdown without data loss.
