Description

KASSOW – Edge Series Collaborative Cobots

World’s first 7-axis cobots with a controller integrated into the base.

The most compact collaborative robot on the market.

  • All the power of our KR series, now with an integrated controller into cobot’s base.
  • No need for an external controller anymore.
  • Fits in even more confined spaces and becomes mobile with the AGV & AMR mount.
    • AGV – Automated Guided Vehicle, which follows a fixed path
    • AMR – Autonomous Mobile Robots which can navigate with fixed paths
  • The ideal solution for AGV & AMR applications.
  • Direct DC connection and powered via battery
  • 42VDC to 58VDC Remote Power On / Off control – to control cobot from AGV or PLC.
  • Arm can run in automatic mode without Teach Pendant.
  • The arm can be configured to run in automatic mode without teach pendant once it’s programmed.
  • Standard footprint160x200mm
  • Standard footprints Each models has the same base.

All five of the 7-axis cobots are now available in two versions: the classic variant with a separate controller, and the Edge Edition.

The Kassow engineering team have succeeded in miniaturising the controller so that it now only occupies around 10% of the volume of the external controller.

The footprint of the Edge Edition’s base is extremely compact, measuring only 160 by 200 millimeters.

These cobot models are powered by direct current, meaning that they can be directly connected to any DC power supply, for example a battery of mobile robots.

There are also easily accessible 60 IO connections.

With these new models, the Copenhagen-based cobot manufacturer is making it easier for industrial companies to automate their operations.

These lightweight robots open up new opportunities for mobile cobot AMR and cobot AGV applications and various space-saving solutions.
